Why vote for
I'm Gavin Wu, a candidate for UCS First-Year Representative, and this website is the campaign. I have three starting proposals — monthly social events, better dining hall food, and one place to find club activities beyond September — and an open forum where you can shape them, question them or raise something else entirely.
Nothing on this site is a finished campus outcome. Each proposal has a public record showing its real status, the latest action, what comes next and what it depends on — including when something is delayed or can't go ahead.
Post a question or concern in 30 seconds. Add your name or stay anonymous. Pick a category, or let the site suggest one from your draft.
Upvote what resonates, downvote what doesn't. The highest-voted issues get answered first, and they shape how the three proposals develop. Votes and feedback are never read as support for the campaign.
Answers appear pinned on the thread with a Gavin badge, and every issue carries a status — Open → Seen → In progress → Done, or an honest "Not planned" with the reason. The full history stays on the post, on the record.
Criticism of anything at Brown — including this campaign — is fair game. What gets removed: harassment of individuals, doxxing, and spam. Posts are screened automatically and reviewed by a human. Posts about mental health or safety are never removed and get campus support resources attached (CAPS, Brown EMS, DPS, 988).
This is an independent student campaign site, not affiliated with or endorsed by Brown University. Limits to keep things sane: 10 posts and 60 comments per person per day, one vote per question.
